Data we collect
When you browse
Like any website, our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, process technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the site: your IP address, browser user agent, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and server logs are kept for a limited period.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how the site is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. The script loads only after you interact with a page or a few seconds after it finishes loading. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Market alerts
If you create an Altcoin Season Index alert, we store the email address or Telegram chat ID you give us, the threshold and direction you chose, and a random token that lets you remove the alert. We use this only to send the alerts you asked for and the confirmation message. You can delete an alert at any time with the unsubscribe link in every alert message.
Preferences stored in your browser
Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, analytics data on the basis of your consent or our legitimate interest in improving the site as applicable law allows, and market-alert data to provide the service you requested.
Who we share data with
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
- Google — analytics.
- Our email provider and Telegram — only to deliver alerts you created.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Market-alert data is kept until you remove the alert. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting. Server and security logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
